DISTANCED YOUTH THEATRE
Drama workshops are very effective in providing young people in particular with the opportunity to use their Gaelic in fun, creative ways.
Also, it gives them the chance to vocalise their concerns surrounding covid-19 and returning to school. Through these drama exercises, they have the chance to display their feelings and tell their own stories in a creative way, in a safe space – something which is vital for good mental health.
Here at Theatre Gu Leòr, we’ve collated resources with examples of workshops and instructions of how to deliver them in line with covid-19 guidance.
We’d like to thank Fraser MacLeod, with his expertise in theatre education, for his guidance and support. Also, we’d like to thank Catriona Campbell, Depute Head, and S1-3 at Sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu.
