One word

  • Each player will say one word at a time to piece together a story

  • The leader will say ‘full stop, new sentence’ or ‘the end’ at appropriate times if the whole group is playing together. This isn’t required in small groups or pairs.

  • This can be extended so that each word must follow the order of the alphabet.

One sentence

  • The same thing, but each player will say one sentence of the story each.

Continuous story

  • In pairs, pick who is A and who is B.

  • The leader will give you a title for a story.

  • A will start the story

  • When the leader says ‘change’ B will take over the storytelling. Keep the story going.
