CatrìONA Mhoireach

Catriona is a Glasgow-based freelance Gaelic broadcaster and writer from Lewis. She worked for 30 years as a radio producer with BBC Radio nan Gàidheal across news, arts, music and documentaries and has also worked in television production for BBC ALBA. She is the editor of the award-winning Doras gun Chlàimhean, the bilingual poetry anthology of the Melbost Bàrd, Murdo MacFarlane, from Lewis.

Martin O’Connor & Chloe Shimmin

Martin O'Connor is a performer, poet and theatre maker from Glasgow. He specialises in new writing projects, playwriting, and spoken word, with a strong emphasis on participation and working in applied contexts. He has also worked extensively with youth theatres such as Toonspeak and Tron Theatre Young Company. Martin often writes in Glaswegian Scots and is a Gaelic learner. He is currently writer and lead performer of Through The Shortbread Tin, with National Theatre of Scotland.

Chloe Shimmin is a theatre-maker and facilitator based in Glasgow. She specialises in working with young people across creative engagement projects. Chloe works as an artist with Toonspeak and Starcatchers and is directing Kensington Arts Youth Theatre’s National Theatre Connections play ‘Ravers' in Pitlochry Festival Theatre. She is currently Lead Artist for Fyvie’s Alive; a show made with young people in Fyvie Castle with National Trust for Scotland. Chloe built children's theatre company Hello Little People on the Isle of Man, where she is originally from. She is a Manx learner with an interest in exploring the connections between Scottish Gaelic and Manx.
