LAS exists to help Gaelic artists to move forward with a new theatre project. With support from the Theatre Gu Leòr team and a budget for costs, artists will have the opportunity to spend time developing an idea for a new piece of theatre.

Daibhidh Walker

Daibhidh Walker, from Ormiclate, South Uist and now Glasgow, has been involved in drama for over twenty years. His experience spans television, radio, film, and teaching, but primarily focuses on acting, from the hapless PC Alasdair Stuibhart to the tragically ambitious Macbeth. Now, he’s taking a different road on his artistic journey to work on an idea for a stage play. 

 

Robbie MacLeòid

Robbie MacLeòid is a poet and writer, and has been published in many different places, including internationally. He completed a PhD in medieval Gaelic literature, and he works as a Gaelic officer. [Image by Kesiak and Ceòl is Craic.]

 

Aonghas MacLeòid

Aonghas MacLeòid was born and brought up in Inverness and now lives in Glasgow. He completed a PhD in 20th century Gaelic literature and he works as a researcher for MPs.
